The Cerrado Farm is located between the municipalities of Três Corações (the birthplace of Pelé, the best football player of all time and athlete of the 20th century) and Cambuquira, home of one of the best mineral waters in the planet. Our coffee plantation area spreads over an area of 150 acres and our lychee (of the “Bengal” type) orchard has 800 trees.
Among the varieties of coffee trees, we have Catuaí, Mundo Novo, Acaiá and Yellow Bourbon. Our average coffee arabica production is around 2.000 bags (60kg / 132 pounds each), reaching from 82 to 88 points in the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) classification standards.
The lychee production is of 40 tons per year, in average. All the coffee is processed at the Cerrado Farm facilities, including washing, pulping, drying (both in terrace and static dryer), peeling e packaging in “big bags”. After that, it can be delivered to customers all over the world.
Cerrado Farm has a legal reserve area for permanent preservation and reforestation with more that 50 acres, where you will find many species from both the Cerrado and the Atlantic forest biome, such as hares, deers, jacu birds, toucans, foxes, siriemas, hawks, maned wolves and several species of trees, like rosewood, jatobá, candeia, maçaranduba, ipê and jequitibá.
Apart from that, you will find water springs, fully protected and in complete harmony with the productive environment. Around 50% of the total coffee area has a drip irrigation system.
